The cultural diversity present in Colombian schools requires an educational approach committed to equity, recognition, and the visibility of Afro-descendant populations. In this context, the transversal project "Afro-Colombian Studies Chair" (CEA), implemented at Colegio Isidro Caballero Delgado in the municipality of Floridablanca (Santander), stands as a meaningful experience for redefining the sense of intercultural education. This essay presents a reflection on its implementation, highlighting its pedagogical foundations, concrete actions, achievements, and challenges. Based on a qualitative approach and a methodology of systematization of experiences, it analyzes how the educational community has moved from the reproduction of stereotypes to the construction of spaces for ethnic recognition and appreciation of Afro-Colombian identity. It concludes that such initiatives must go beyond commemorative practices to become a structural proposal, aligned with the institutional horizon and educational project of Colombian schools.
