The essay focuses on the central idea of the role of rural educators and their importance in fostering a supportive and empathetic community. It mentions the challenges they face in the rural context, such as a lack of resources and the need to adapt educational policies to their specific needs. To address this, information was gathered and current literature on rural education was reviewed, including analyses of applicable educational policies. Interviews were conducted with rural educators in specific communities, which helped identify the needs and challenges in rural areas and examine current educational policies and practices. Promoting respect for and conservation of the environment is crucial in rural education so that students actively engage in its preservation. It is essential that educational policies are committed to ensuring sufficient resources and promoting a perspective that goes beyond technical and professional aspects, adapting to the specific needs of rural communities. The necessity of educational policies that consider teacher training and adequate infrastructure for rural areas was confirmed, given the transformative role that rural educators play and how they can act as agents of change by creating pedagogies that address the cultural, social, and emotional needs of their students. Finally, recommendations are highlighted for future educational policies to include strategies for inclusion and social justice, as well as their application in the rural context.
