Abstract

This article explains the significance of competence in linguistic communication as a fundamental tool for socializing and leveraging the educational experience, as it is a privileged path of access to knowledge within and outside the context formal educational. With regard to the research method used is the documentary with bibliographic design. The techniques reviewing and researching content from physical and electronic sources that allowed hermeneutic analysis to complete the identification of the four oral and written linguistic skills, which materialize through competences in the linguistic communication: listening comprehension (listening), oral expression (speaking), reading comprehension (reading), written expression (writing), and oral and written interaction (interact).In this way it is understood that they are used to order thought(Comprehension), to enunciate the inner world (Expression) and to relate to the external context (Interaction), facilitating the ability to communicate effectively in the various areas of language use. Therefore, the meaning in the scope and precision of the concept of competence in linguistic communication has an impact on the development of formal and non-formal learning, because it facilitates the individual formation of being, the acquisition of knowledge, and personal autonomy for learn and achieve the integral evolution of the person.
