Abstract

The objective of this article is to analyze the amorphic and cataphoric references as mechanisms involved in textual linguistic cohesion, understanding the latest as the grammatical property that presents all text to ensure the connection between its components. Methodologically the qualitative approach, type research-action, was used. The intervention was held in the Faculty of Humanities, Department of Spanish, with twenty-two (22) students who studied Language and Communication in the period summer 2019. Data collection techniques documentary analysis and qualified practice, through redactions. As an analysis technique the triangulation, categorization and theorization of the results. As final considerations it was obtained that in written productions there are difficulties of cohesion and lexical precision, with excessive redundancy and repetition of words, as well as the incorrect use of textual entities disphasicating the sequences of ideas, thus demonstrating difficulty in incorporating amorphic and cataphoric references into the text. This generates recommendations for the incorporation of text cohesion mechanisms.
