This paper dealt with the regulation in Panamanian law of the improper uses of industrial property. First, a conceptual approach to industrial property rights was carried out. Later, the Panamanian law on industrial property was analyzed. Its content was analyzed in detail from a descriptive and analytical perspective. The analysis of the content of the legislation includes the description of the conducts that constitute improper uses and the consequences imposed by the Panamanian legislator to such improper uses. Among other conclusions, it was concluded that Panamanian legislation provides adequate protection to the legitimate owners of industrial property rights.
