Abstract

A monitoring of resident birds during the rainy season 2016 and 2017 documents the presence of Columba livia, Patagioenas cayennensis, Columbina talpacoti and Leptotila verreauxi and in fragments of vegetation of the Regional University Center of Colón. Transect and counting point techniques used to record the presence and abundance of the taxon; this finding makes it possible to update data on columbidos in urban forests. Therefore, the idea of establishing strategies for the conservation of shrubby fragments of the Regional Center reinforced. Strategies for the conservation of urban forests in the province of Colón.
