Because stress is considered the disease of the century, work stress has become relevant as a research topic, since the repercussions it triggers are evident in the personnel and therefore in the institutions. These do not go unnoticed in a society that is increasingly immersed in the demands pertinent to globalization. In this sense, this research aims to determine the impact that work stress has on the organizational climate of administrative workers in a government health institution in Penonomé. It is part of the quantitative modality, non-experimental design, field type, descriptive-evaluative level. The study population consisted of 65 workers and the sample corresponded to 54 collaborators, of which 26 were women and 28 represented the men of the Institution. For the collection of information, the survey technique was used with the instrumental support of the questionnaire accompanied by the psychological test of Kenneth's stress profile, Work Climate Scale. It was concluded that workers have low stress states despite the complexity of the job and this is mainly because they have a stable and optimal work environment, which is paradoxical in a health environment where there are few resources and controversies with patients seeking medical attention predominate.
