From the student’s perspective, the implementation of mathematical algorithms in personnel selection processes improves efficiency, reduces bias, and increases objectivity in decision- making. This technological tool enables a selection based on data and quantifiable criteria, representing a significant advancement compared to traditional methods. The analysis of this approach highlights its positive impact on the quality of hires and organizational development. The purpose of this study is to analyze the importance of optimizing personnel selection processes through the use of mathematical algorithms, assessing how they influence the efficiency of the process, the objectivity in candidate evaluation, and the alignment with job requirements from a student perspective. It also seeks to raise awareness about the role of technological tools in transforming human resource processes. A structured survey was applied to fourteen (14) third- and fourth-year students of the Mathematics Bachelor's Program at the University of Panama to collect data on their perceptions regarding the use of algorithms in personnel selection. The data collection and analysis will focus on describing and quantifying students' perceptions on this topic. It was evident that the majority of participants believe that algorithms can significantly contribute to reducing bias in the selection process, reflecting a clear understanding of the benefits of applying technological tools to mitigate human subjectivity. This perception aligns with the view that digitalization can promote fairer, data-driven decision-making
