Abstract

This article explained the insult against the honor in the criminal law. Initially, a descriptive analysis of Panamanian criminal theory on this crime was carried out. Then, some cases decided by the Criminal Chamber and the Plenary of the Supreme Court of Justice of Panama were explained. The techniques used were: the bibliographic checking, the investigation of law and the analysis of jurisprudence. In this article was concluded, among others, that the insult is an offense of the honor of another person, specifically the attack to his personality, his family life and his private life.
