The general objective of the study was to analyze the development of educational research at UDELAS from 1997 to 2020. The article only focuses on the analysis of the development of the lines of research. The research design was non-experimental, with types of diagnostics, documentary, descriptive and explanatory study. Among the relevant results: from 1994 to 2021, 24 undergraduate, 9 master's and 1 doctorate study programs are developed, which have allowed the development of 8 lines of educational research through thesis. Until 2014 the lines of research are established and from 2015 to date, these are supported academically and scientifically, obtaining qualitative and quantitative statistics of the research carried out at the university. Since 2015, 114 professors have developed research in the different lines of the educational area. Academic publications through the Redes university journal began in 2001 and began to be scientific in nature in 2015, with 21 scientific publications in the educational area, which provide knowledge in 7 lines of research; It should be noted that the journal has two areas, Social Sciences and Health Sciences. One of the relevant conclusions that directly pertains to this article is the verification of the mainstreaming of the lines of research, in addition to obtaining a clear definition of the line of research that allows a more organized and collaborative work between the different areas of study.
