To analyze the role of emerging technologies, particularly artificial intelligence (AI), in environmental management and their contribution to ecosystem and natural resource conservation amid the global ecological crisis. A systematic literature review of recent research on artificial intelligence (AI) applications in biodiversity monitoring, early detection of environmental disasters, and decision-making support for sustainability policies was conducted. Case studies from various regions were included to identify patterns, benefits, and limitations of these technological tools.
AI-based solutions optimize real-time environmental data collection and analysis, improve predictive system accuracy, and reduce response times to ecological threats. An increase in conservation program efficiency and improved anticipation of climate change–related phenomena were observed. Integrating artificial intelligence (AI) into environmental management represents a significant step toward proactive and sustainable conservation models. Implementation requires ethical and regulatory frameworks to ensure responsible data use and local community involvement in decision-making processes.
