Abstract

The pandemic generated by COVID-19 absorbs all aspects of human existence, law and freedom are relegated to the face of the uncertain, the irrational and the illogical. Education becomes from the collective, into an alone individual being the boy with squat eyes observes in the distance where his dreams are, where his teachers are, where his friends are. This allowed us to reflect on what has motivated the Secretary of Education of Boyacá to rescue a study strategy at home for its rural population, which allows the love of school to be maintained in girls, boys, and young people.

Under Edgar Morin's tradition of complex thinking and qualitative approach, a methodological route was formulated to understand rural education from a necessary preventive isolation; reality that we are, constitutes us, and enables a new way of conceiving it. Some interviews were applied to principals of educational institutions and students from the rural sector, which were analyzed following the method of the dialogue of knowledge, at its three levels: description, understanding and explanation.

It is relevant to say that we must be part of this new approach based on a new theoretical assumption, which invites us to rethink the school fact to maintain motivation towards learning, strengthen family participation and recognition of their environment; with the firm purpose of generating in students significant learning and the construction of original knowledge, necessary for the transformation of rural education, not only in times of a pandemic.
