At present, IES are destined to play a fundamental role in knowledge societies, where the classical schemes of production, diffusion and application of knowledge have undergone a profound change. These institutions will have to be more flexible in order to adapt to and anticipate the needs of society. This applies particularly to developing countries, where new university models are urgently needed that are better adapted to the needs, as well as regional and international cooperation activities that can bridge the gap between North and South.
The main purpose of the paper is the presentation of a methodology for the determination of a set of strategies for the projection of Knowledge Management in a higher education center, with a view to improving the management of the knowledge of teachers and Researchers of this institution.
