Abstract

 Qualitative Comparative Analysis (QCA) is a research method that is presented as an alternative to the problems generated by methodological positivism, especially its methodological reductionism when treating causality. It also resolves the criticisms that have been raised against it. makes qualitative approaches around the impossibility of inference and the unreliable management of the data it uses. The objective of the article is to reflect on the problems of positivism when studying social phenomena and present solutions from this new approach that is increasingly popular in the Latin American social sciences as a whole due to its parsimony and efficient management of complexity. causal.
