On this occasion, three contemporary Central American novels are analyzed in terms of their representation of the topic of eroticism in search of defining their conceptualization of this, the discursive structuring, and main characteristics of the erotic in them, as well as the functionality of their representation in each text, this considering the postulates of Bataille, Barthes, Paz and Zúñiga on the subject. It is concluded that the eroticism in Luis de Lión's novel is transgressive, and part of the identity set of the indigenous subject in its differentiation from the Ladino, while the erotic in Galich is humorous to satirize its superficial nature in a neoliberal context, while in Castellanos Moya it evolves to become an "anti-erotic" discourse that reflects a rampant hedonism that violates any given ethical principle.
