If a work team knows itself better, the chances of success are greater; This is reflected in consolidated strengths, as well as in terms of productivity and synergy. The aim of this study was to identify the different personality types that interact in a project team highlighted for their proactivity, dynamism and relevance when addressing the problems expressed by the project's beneficiaries. To do this, a test based on the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) on 16 personality types was shared. This test was applied to fourteen team members (six women and eight men), who completed it responsibly and honestly. The online application provided the automatic response, based on the submitted information. According to the results, the project team studied has different personality types such as analysts (two architects, a commander and a debater), diplomats (an advocate, three protagonists and two campaigners), sentinels (a defender and two consuls) and explorer (an entertainer). Furthermore, it should be clarified that although some of the respondents share the same type of personality, the functions or roles they play in the project are different. It should even be noted that there are seven personality types that were not reflected in the study (logician, mediator, logistician, executive, virtuoso, adventurer and entrepreneur). In conclusion, nine personality types were identified in the Apiculture Research and Innovation Project in Panama (PIIAP), being the most frequent protagonist with three team members, but fulfilling different roles.
