The study has a non-experimental design, with a quantitative, exploratory-descriptive and cross-sectional approach. The information collection technique used was the survey, so a 34-item questionnaire was developed, with multiple answers and a Likert scale. The instrument was validated by 3 people who made observations to the questionnaire, for its subsequent application. The total population of the study was 136 nurses and the sample was made up of 47 nurses, who represent 35% of the population and who work at the Regional Hospital. 83% indicate that there are no protocols or policies that regulate AI in their workplace, 70.2% of the surveys deny using AI tools. Although staff indicate a lack of confidence towards the use of AI in the management of their tasks, at the same time, it demonstrates staff availability for the use of AI tools in their daily tasks. The training and training of health personnel in this area is recommended.
