Abstract

Business logistics is undergoing a transformation driven by technological development and the demands of the global market. This study aimed to describe emerging technologies in business logistics, identifying their main applied advantages. The methodology employed was descriptive, documentary research based on a literature review of secondary sources published between 2016 and 2025. The search was conducted using Google Scholar for academic literature, supplemented by a free internet search to identify corporate reports and implement case studies from leading companies (such as IBM, DHL, Amazon, and Alibaba). The analysis focused on the Internet of Things, rtificiall intelligence, blockchain, robotic automation, and autonomous vehicles and drones. The main findings indicate that technologies such as IoT improve visibility and decision-making, AI modernizes routes and predicts demand, blockchain strengthens traceability and trust, robotics automates warehouses and increases productivity, and autonomous vehicles and drones transform last-mile delivery, reducing delivery times and costs. The integration of these technologies drives Logistics 4.0, enabling companies to adapt to digitalization, anticipate disruptions, minimize risks, and increase added value for customers.
