The possible consequences of the exchange of natural resources of the countries of the Third World by the considerable debts that their governments have contracted with the developed countries are discussed. It is concluded that the supposed benefits to obtain are only an illusion and that the exchange mechanism harms their right on the territory, the ecosystems and its biodiversity.
