Abstract

In order to determine the entomofaune related to their decomposition of dressed pigs, one out of three of them with injuries in their necks and abdomen made with a knife were studied during a month at Vacamonte Port, Arraiján. Along with it, the temperature of the injuries, inside the mouth and underneath the body were taken. Four decompositions stages were recognized at the carcasses, in which 50 species included in 28 genera and 8 orders were identified, Calliphoridae Cochliomya macellaria, Chrysomya rufifacies, C. megacephala and Sarcophagidae Peckia gulo and P. intermutans were the first insects in arrived, oviposited and larviposited on the carcasses. Therefore, this species would be considered good forensic indicators in human body in decomposition.
