The main objective of this work is to analyze the impact of Artificial Intelligence (AI) on the engineering industry. Key aspects of integrating AI into process automation, its impact on employment and the economy, as well as its potential to improve quality and efficiency in the industry have been examined. The scope of the article includes a comprehensive review of existing literature on the topic, as well as a critical analysis of the results and conclusions of relevant studies. In addition, successful cases of AI application in the engineering industry in China, Europe, and America have been identified and examined. Qualitative and quantitative research methods and techniques were used to carry out the investigation. Articles, books, studies published in journals, and specialized databases were reviewed. Additionally, analyses were conducted to evaluate the results and conclusions obtained. The article concludes that AI has great potential to improve efficiency, quality, and optimization in the engineering industry. However, it is also important to consider the potential negative impacts on employment and the economy. Therefore, a balanced and responsible approach is necessary for the integration of AI in the industry.
