The city of Ambato, capital of the province of Tungurahua, has suffered an important population increase, due to several factors that have influenced this demographic phenomenon, such as: migratory processes, the strategic location in the center of the country, the great commercial activity, the presence of higher education institutions, among others. This population load leads to the generation of problems and housing needs, public equipment for recreation, health, education, safety, roads, transportation, others, which according to the competencies of public and private institutions must be covered. In this sense, the recreational public space in the center of the city is limited, which is why the municipality is taking green areas of streams, and banks of the Ambato River to implement projects that promote the protection and care of these watersheds, where it will intervene through the agreement between the Municipal GAD and Indoamerican Technological University, the objective is to propose a landscape project through the application of the methodology of landscape treatment in the ravines of the urban area of the city of Ambato, specifically in Quebrada Jalupana, adjacent to Los Cocos street, located in the El Sueño sector. Within this framework, the proposal is directed to take advantage of the visual basin of the ditch parallel to Los Cocos Street, to optimize the road through the integral improvement of roadways, to improve the conditions of the stairways, urban spaces and furniture and the adequate selection of the vegetation applied in this landscape of the sector. In relation to the implications, the high level of impact of the project is due to the fact that this road is an artery that connects two main avenues, the Circunvalación and the Rodrigo Pachano, without a doubt it is a contribution with the improvement of the quality of life of the resident population and of the passers-by.
