Abstract

Kindler syndrome is a cutaneous-mucosal manifestation, which is seen as burns, where the sun is its main enemy. This disease has no cure, but considering its importance, the objective of this research is: To assess the level of Knowledge, Attitudes and Practices (KAP) held by residents of the Kankintu district communities on Kindler Syndrome to develop a guide informative teaching of health to the community.

The results indicate that 99.7% of the respondents do not know the specific characteristics of Kindler's syndrome. 94.9% indicate that their relationship with those affected is very little or they move away from them because they do not like the appearance of the skin and 90.1% do not know the frequency of visit of the MINSA officials to the patients of the Kindler Syndrome in the District of Kankintú. These results indicate that the information that the residents of the district of Kankintú have about the Kindler syndrome should be improved.
