Health perception is the expression of the state of health felt and whose description requires identification of the epidemiological profile. Consequently, the study sought to determine the referred health characteristics of administrative workers, as well as to analyze based on the self-care deficit theory (Orem, 1993). The methodology required to start descriptively, using a questionnaire to determine the epidemiological profile reported by the participants; Subsequently, the perception of health was analyzed with the risk factors. With the support of the SPSS software, descriptive statistical techniques are applied such as measures of central tendency and variability; These procedures elucidated that 80% of the participants perceive a health between very good and good, however, of these, 69% present non-communicable diseases, with regard to lifestyle, the body mass index with an average of overweight was significant. (27), with a lower limit of 19 and a maximum limit of 41, in addition, of the 26 occupational risks presented, those related to ergonomics are the most frequent. In conclusion, the epidemiological profile of the sample is similar to that reflected in countries with an adult population, chronic diseases and manifestations of prevailing ergonomic risks; however, the perception of health contrasts with this profile, allowing to confirm a self-care deficit.
