Abstract

Among the affective disorders related to aging, depression is considered as a factor associated with causes of daily life. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the quality of life of older adults in the city of Celaya, Guanajuato through the FUMA Scale with the intention of relating it to the depressive symptomatology test using the CES-D scale with the intention of knowing the degree relationship between the two. 150 applications were made, 110 elderly women and 40 men. A regular rho of .668 was obtained, since the results indicate that there is a correlation in which the variables are inversely related, that is, while there is a higher perception of the quality of life, the depressive symptoms are lower.
