Abstract

Diabetes is a chronic pathology that affects an important part of the world's inhabitants, it has an effect on lifestyle, since it requires the diagnosed individual to follow a precise procedure to avoid the negative sequels that are shown in an extensive due to the lack of metabolism control. It is essential to take into account that the pathology does not only impair physical changes, but psychological ones, in which they integrate behavioral and cognitive points, therefore, psychotherapeutic participation is fundamental. In this environment, the main objective of this research work is to demonstrate the use of Psychotherapy as an optimization tool in the Diabetes Procedure. For this purpose, a systematic review of the existing bibliography of authors on the subject of analysis was carried out. The results showed that there is an existing literature of authors on the subject of study. The results showed that a cognitive-behavioral psychological intervention is recommended to ensure that a diabetic person complies with the clinical treatment.
