Abstract

Violence that originates in the family can take various forms; Statistics report the prevalence of men as aggressors of the integrity of women and children, in which adolescents are differentiated, who may suffer or witness psychological, physical or sexual violence, causing various conditions that limit development and decrease quality of life at a general level and in particular studies report that violence in adolescence produces behavioral problems. Therefore, the objective of the research is to know the efficacy of cognitive behavioral therapy in the approach of adolescent victims of intrafamily violence. To fulfill the objective of the study, qualitative research was used through the method of bibliographic review of international studies that were developed around the study topic. The results found studies that report that the symptoms of Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) decreased considerably in the intervention with Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). As it is concluded, the effectiveness of the intervention as a treatment for adolescent victims of any type of violence.
