Abstract

This article presents the findings of a research that seeks to analyze the study and aims to make a diagnosis of scientific production in the Public Relations career in the period 2014-2018, at the Faculty of Social Communication of the University of Panama. The issue arose considering that there is little scientific productivity in the Public Relations career of the Faculty of Social Communication of the University of Panama, therefore, a technical scientific study will allow, without a doubt, to make decisions in the Faculty of Social Communication. For data collection, an exploratory, descriptive and qualitative-quantitative study with a specialized bibliography was used. Similarly, a random sampling survey was applied that allowed an approach with 15 teachers and 100 graduates. The main findings extracted from the applied instruments, demand for skills and critical thinking of graduates and motivation of teachers. In the same way, to solve the scarce scientific production, it requires fundamental, methodological and technological methods to achieve the objective of promoting research in the Public Relations career.
