An attitude of knowledge about the clinical-radiological diagnosis of child maltreatment in Radiology Technicians and Diagnostic Imaging of a Health Institution of Panama. A descriptive cross-sectional study was carried out, with the total population working as Radiology technicians from a health institution in Panama, who participated voluntarily. 75% chose as main forms of child abuse, sexual harassment / abuse, insults / verbal aggressions, beatings and punishments and give tranquilizers / alcohol / excess salt. 88% considered that violent methods of parenting such as the repetition of the models of parenting received by their parents or guardians during childhood agreed that violence affected the health of children. Hematomas, burns and wounds were considered by 20% as the most frequent skin lesions produced by child maltreatment. The most common fractures produced by child abuse, metaphyseal fractures, epiphysial detachments at the level of the bones of the clavicles, spiroids and distal ends of the clavicles. 75% of the technicians never received training in the subject and 81% of them were interested in the level of competence in the clinical-radiological diagnosis of child maltreatment. The problem derived from child abuse in its various forms requires that the deep knowledge that is put at the service of patients, family and society in general with the highest quality and both medical and technological characteristics that help its diagnosis . The technician of radiology and diagnostic images should be treated as such or abuse, therefore, suggests the curricular training of radiology technician and diagnostic images is connected to the subject of forensic radiology.
