This presentation describes the main effects caused by COVID-19 to university students, since it is evident that the normality in teaching classes at present is different and is still mostly perceived by students. Therefore, the purpose of this study was focused on describing the persistent sequelae in university students. For this, a non-probabilistic sampling study was carried out on 220 students from the faculties of Natural Sciences, Exact Sciences and Technology and Nursing of the University of Panama during the first semester of 2022. The results showed that the students present difficulties mainly in aspects of an economic type, which are reflected in the access to technology for their virtual classes, since more than 80% use the cell phone for their virtual classes.
