Abstract

We examined the external morphological features of 15 species of sucking lice (Phthiraptera: Anoplura) from Panama, detecting some apomorphies, the position of the haustellum, edge sternum chest plate, presence of ventral plate on the second abdominal segment, morphology of the paramere and endomere in genitalia of the male, with high potential information to reconstruct phylogenetic of three species of the taxon Enderleinellus relationship; lice permanent ectoparasites found only on rodent of the family Sciuridae (squirrels). Supported in these morphological phylogenetic analysis solves very well the monophyletic clade relationship ((E.deppei,_E._microsciuri) e. hondurensis). Pointing out the same as e. deppei is the brother of E.microssiuri in all group generated trees.
