The consumption of fuel such as marine fuel oil (MFO), as a consequence of the increase in the world fleet, has increased, causing a great environmental impact such as causing ocean acidification, the emission of greenhouse gases, affecting balance in climate change. Vessels that have increased in size and then their machinery have had the need to consume and burn more fuel, affecting the environment. The research work on greenhouse gas emissions produced by ships that call in the waters of Panama and carry out transit is one of the generating sources of these gases (GFI). Using the machine log to determine fuel consumption, both while underway, docking and maneuvering, through the implementation and use of the mathematical formulas provided by the IMO, emissions have been calculated, especially CO2, in a sample obtained.
