This essay aims to reflect on the relevance of Edgar Morin's pedagogical proposals, as presented in his work *A Well-Ordered Mind*, in light of the demands of the contemporary social context. It seeks to demonstrate that the transition to complex thinking and an education oriented toward understanding are essential for overcoming the immediacy of information and the tendency toward hasty judgment in today's society. To achieve this, the analysis is developed using an interpretive and critical approach, linking theoretical knowledge with personal and professional experiences through socio-emotional learning as a resource for fostering empathy and self-awareness. This approach is carried out through a conceptual review of the relationship between emotions, the human condition, and the construction of meaningful learning connected to reality. It concludes that the most pressing educational challenge of the 21st century lies not only in the transmission of knowledge, but also in the recovery of the human dimension of education, where the capacity to understand others precedes the act of judging, thus laying the foundation for a comprehensive and dialogical human development.
