In modern times, education has much to say and do. Education, as human formation, as "instruction of thought... and direction of feelings", according to Marti's conception, becomes a central channel to address the need to respond to the challenges of the 21st century; however, changing mentalities and reforming human thinking are required to develop an education as a human formation that prepares for creative work and a meaningful life. The work addresses the struggle of two paradigms in which education is immersed: the modern classic and the non-classical or postclassical. The first is simplistic, deterministic, and abstract and the second, is based on the complexity of links and dynamic interactions. It is necessary that our teachers and staff who channel education, assume new epistemic – hermeneutical paths that lead to the understanding of the real with an ecosophical, cultural and complex sense, and to achieve this, it must overcome the positivist rationalism in which we have been formed and act from complex thinking, transdisciplinarity, the integration of knowledge and constructivism.
