Abstract

The article presented is informative in nature and is derived from the research that served as the basis for the author's doctoral thesis. It constitutes a detailed, selective and critical study that integrates essential information in an integrative perspective. The scientific method was used in the interpretation and analysis of texts and compiled the most relevant information about the work of Juan Amos Comenius, with emphasis on his contributions to modern pedagogy and his criticism of the fragmentation of teaching content, highlighting the syncretic method he used as a powerful holistic pedagogical tool. José Martí manages to explore his educational, essayistic, literary and educational thought and work as part of universal humanist thought. It concludes with the proposal of analysis towards the justification of the change in the educational paradigm towards the construction of holistic thinking in education in the face of the tendencies to fragment teaching and learning.
