Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of neuroscience-based teaching techniques in improving the academic performance of secondary school students in Colombia. By combining quantitative and qualitative methods, both academic outcomes and perceptions of teachers and students regarding these techniques were analyzed. Findings suggest that the application of pedagogical strategies informed by neuroscience can have a significant impact on improving content comprehension and retention. However, barriers to effective implementation were identified, such as the lack of specific training for teachers and the need to adapt the curriculum. The study concludes by emphasizing the importance of integrating neuroscientific findings into pedagogy, always considering the particularities of the Colombian educational context.
