Abstract

Pedagogical research in Angola faces the need for progressive specialization due to the wide diversity of sectors it covers, which makes it difficult for individual researchers to comprehensively master the data. This article analyzes the fundamental role of educational research in improving the quality of teaching and learning in the Angolan context, highlighting its contribution to transforming the education system through contextualized and equitable practices. Quantitative, qualitative, and mixed methodologies are examined, as well as emerging alternatives such as action research, systematization of experiences, and ethnographic approaches. Furthermore, the importance of integrating local knowledge and adapting pedagogical strategies to Angola's sociocultural realities is emphasized, thus overcoming internalist approaches and promoting more inclusive and relevant education.
