In the current context of constant change and transformation, educational innovation is positioned as a key pillar for renewing teaching-learning processes. The purpose of this article is to understand the importance of educational innovation in teaching processes and its impact on student development. The review was conducted through a descriptive literature review related to educational innovation and elements linked to cutting-edge strategies to motivate students in their pursuit of learning. The results indicate that innovation in teaching is a transformation that goes beyond the simple use of technological tools: it involves a profound redesign of methods, content, and pedagogical structures that enable meaningful, inclusive, and critical education. Therefore, it must be addressed systematically, involving academic directors, trained teachers, pedagogical leaders, and appropriate learning times.
