This article exposes the evolution of watercolor in Panama through the work of the first group of watercolorists noted for their great technical skills in the context of the years 70s and 80s, as well as their main influences and legacy to Panamanian art. It is a qualitative study that describes and examines the events, actions, feelings and the most sympathetic a esthetic report of these Panamanian watercolorists through the semi-structured interview techniques and questionnaire carried out in 2014. The fundamental interest of this work is to comprehend the report of the watercolorists to the Panamanian culture, both from the a esthetic point of view and related to the construction of identity.
