Abstract

The goal of this study is to determine the effects of stress on the motivation of MEDUCA teachers during the COVID-19 pandemic time. In it is framed in the quantitative modality, non-experimental design, field type, at descriptive-evaluative level. The study population consisted of two hundred and sixty-seven (277) professors enrolled in MEDUCA, from different regions of Panama; the sample corresponded to two hundred and forty-one (241) professors enrolled in the workshop on Stress and Motivation, thus being a simple random intentional stratified sampling. For the collection of information, the survey technique was used with the instrumental support of the questionnaire.  The study concluded that MEDUCA teachers find motivation in the creativity of their role, the opportunity to make decisions, the relationship with their superiors, and the resources and recognition they receive. The workload imposed by the pandemic was balanced with the use of techniques to take care of physical and mental health.  A highly significant percentage reports aspects indicating motivation within the work context and the use of stress self-management measures.
