The objective includes a review of the programmes designed in 2013 and 2022 for the Bilingual Pedagogical Baccalaureate of the JDA Teacher Training College and the Bachelor's Degree in Education for the Primary Stage of General Basic Education of the JDA Higher Pedagogical Institute. With this, we present the generation of knowledge on curricular environmentalisation of the programmes under study, the environmental perspective that serves as a framework, the didactic and methodological resources that guide Environmental Education in the context of Sustainable Development from the school institution. The results of the study indicate that, in 2013, 76.2% of the subject programmes of the Baccalaureate, and 78.7% in 2022, did not include the treatment of at least one topic related to the environment, its problems and solutions. A similar situation arose in the Bachelor's Degree, since the review carried out showed that 85% of the programmes in 2013 and 89% in 2022, respectively, did not do so either. In view of the complexity of socio-environmental problems, there is a need to propose viable and innovative alternatives to move towards curricular environmentalisation and the contextualisation of primary education based on competences to sustain life on the planet, from the Education Centre "as the first house of study in a community".
