This research titled “Proposal for the Creation of an Entrepreneurship Center at the Regional University Center of San Miguelito (CRUSAM)”, emerges in response to the need to strengthen the entrepreneurial culture among university students, particularly within the Marketing degree program. Although many students develop innovative ideas during their academic training, the institution currently lacks a formal space that offers guidance, mentorship, or resources to help transform those ideas into viable projects.
The main objective of this research is to design a proposal for the creation of an Entrepreneurship Center at CRUSAM that contributes to the development of business competencies, fosters innovation, and promotes active student participation in productive and sustainable initiatives. The study is based on a descriptive approach with a quantitative methodology, using surveys applied to third-year Marketing students in the morning shift.
The proposal outlines the conceptual, structural, and functional design of the CRUSAM University Entrepreneurship Center (CECRUSAM), including areas for training, mentoring, incubation, and follow-up, as well as programs for capacity building, advisory services, and linkage with the productive sector. It is concluded that the implementation of this university center represents a significant opportunity to promote entrepreneurial spirit, improve graduate employability, and contribute to local economic development, positioning CRUSAM as an institution committed to innovation, leadership, and university entrepreneurship.
