This article was carried out with the objective of analyzing the financial and economic impact of cabstand in the district of Chitre, with the purpose of knowing the situation that taxi drivers currently face and how they are economically affected. The study was mixed in nature, accompanied by non-experimental descriptive-cross-sectional research. The population included all the cabstands registered with the Transit and Land Transportation Authority in Chitre district. It is made up of nineteen cabstands, grouped into twelve borrowers and a labor union that is made up of seven cabstands. Regarding the instruments for data collection, they were chosen based on the research design, in which primary and secondary sources were used. Once the information from the taxi drivers was collected, the data was tabulated for their respective analysis. Taxi drivers are therefore an important source of income throughout the region because many drivers and chauffeurs benefit from this work, suggesting that many households are economically dependent on this work. Concluding that the cabstand business is fundamental in the Chitre region because it is a source of income for many homes and businesses in the region and therefore must be managed according to supply and demand, promoting the economic and sustainable growth of the region.
