Abstract

Sex education is important for society to ensure understanding of civil and reproductive rights. This research focuses on implementing an educational strategy that enhances independent and effective learning through restorative values. The main objective of changing the perception and control of adolescent problems is to reduce negative consequences such as early pregnancy, sexually transmitted diseases, domestic violence and other aspects related to meaningful learning.  Therefore, to achieve these objectives, a comprehensive and interdisciplinary program has been developed and implemented, a teaching strategy that promotes the participation of students, teachers and families taking into account the social and cultural context of the educational community.  In this sense, the research is based on the assumption that the integration of values in gender education not only increases knowledge, but also improves the attitudes and health practices of young people, since, two main hypotheses were analyzed; the first is focused on the improvement of knowledge and practice of health care based on values and sense of belonging in relation to sex education and the second have to do with the relationship between the participation of students in activities related to values and the adoption of responsible behaviors.
