About the Journal

The Revista Médica de Panamá is the official publication of the Panamanian Academy of Medicine and Surgery, the Gorgas Memorial Institute for Health Studies (ICGES), the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Panama and the Interamerican University of Panama.

Focus of the Journal

The focus of the journal is to serve as a vehicle for the publication of scientific work in Panama, Central America and the Spanish-speaking Caribbean and the northern part of South America.

The projection of the journal in the near future is to become a means of publication for the Academies of Medicine and Surgery of Latin America, as well as for regional clinical medical societies that do not have this facility.
