Since 2020, education has been challenging professors in general. That is why, the interest comes up to understand the experience of professors, digital immigrants, positioned in the so-called boomer generation, aged between 61 and 72 years, who work in a line of research especially with students from "Y" and "Z” generations. A qualitative, descriptive phenomenological study is carried out, through a narrative review, with an unstructured rubric, validated through the crystal metaphor, which guides the content analysis, considering the subjects’ different points of view. Personal, professional, technological, and institutional categories are presented to the teachers. It is concluded that the experience undergoes with a clear horizon, supported by updating and planning, with contents related to the topics of interest, using strategies to promote a virtual learning environment based on trust, respect, and accordance with guidelines. The narrative analysis raises the achievement sense of professors. It is planned to study the professors’ perception who use to work in the research field but quitted from teaching during the pandemic, due to their limited technological mastery.
