The research is based on the opinions of English-speaking foreign residents in Pedasi about the linguistic dynamics of English by the Spanish-speaking population of the place since Spanish is the official language. The objective of this article is to assess the general opinion of English-speaking residents in Pedasi about the level of English language by the population that offers its services to this segment of tourists to know how this dynamic influences the perception and communicative experience between tourists and the population. The methodology used in this study was descriptive with a qualitative approach, where a survey was used for data collection. The population that was considered as the object of study consisted of English-speaking foreign residents living in the town of Pedasi. The results allowed us to identify that many of the respondents stated that they were dissatisfied or dissatisfied with the level of English language proficiency in Pedasi, especially in terms of pronunciation, fluency, grammar, and general use of vocabulary, since it is difficult to communicate in the English language with most of the local people who work in tourist and/or public places in Pedasi. In conclusion, it is inferred that English-speaking residents in Pedasi are not satisfied with the level of English that the people who offer their services in the area have.
