In recent years, Panamanian tourism has experienced a remarkable increase in the number of travelers interested in exploring other borders. Destinations such as the United States and some European cities are among the favorites to enjoy vacations. However, in these destinations, Panamanian tourists may face challenges when communicating in English. This study employed an exploratory methodology with a quantitative approach. A non-experimental approach was applied to an intentional sample of 27 adult Panamanian tourists selected from a population of 44 individuals, including both adults and children, all of them, residents of Panama, who traveled during the first semester of 2025 for tourism purposes to cities where Spanish was not the official language and faced personal, cultural, and social risks in which communication became difficult. Additionally, this study highlights that these tourists could achieve better communication with locals and within the tourism sector in destinations where other languages are spoken by improving their English level, which would significantly help to reduce the difficulties associated with language barriers. Thus, this research presents examples of the challenges faced by a group of adult Panamanian tourists when traveling
