Structural parameters of a Rhizophora mangle mangrove forest were measured in the south border of Península de Azuero, Panamá, in three plots of 10 m x 100 m, each one. It was found 306 trees (greater than 10 cm DBH), with mean DBH 15,5 cm, basal area of 18,0 m2/ha, tall canopies 9,6 m, density 470 trees/ha, and a Holdridge complexity index of 7,7, indicating a well-structured fringe mangrove.
