This study aims to evaluate the impact of bioethics training on students enrolled in the Home Caregiver Course at the Universidad del Trabajo y la Tercera Edad (UTTE), through the analysis of responses to a survey administered before and after the training process. Specifically, it examines changes in the understanding of the bioethical principles of autonomy, beneficence, non-maleficence, and justice, analyzes the evolution of participants’ perceptions regarding their application in home care, and characterizes the sociodemographic and educational profile of the participants. A quantitative descriptive study with a longitudinal cohort design was conducted during 2025. The sample consisted of 32 participants. A survey was applied at the beginning and at the end of the course, and results were analyzed using percentages, Odds Ratio (OR), Relative Risk (RR), and p-values. Changes were observed across all evaluated variables, with statistically significant differences in harm prevention, application of preventive measures, and caregiver self-care. The study population showed prior caregiving experience and diverse educational backgrounds. It is concluded that bioethics training strengthens the understanding and application of ethical principles in home care, promotes more reflective practices, improves the quality of care, and contributes to the humanization of care provided to vulnerable populations.
